Job search 2.0 the longtail

Today I did a little research in jobsites, and found out that even the TechCrunch empire has it’s own job board now. Also I found some blog’s being centered on the theme of jobsearch2.0 and social job search.

I will give you a small list of the things I found today

Long tail Job boards
There is a difference between job sites and job boards; Job boards are narrow targeted, have only a few jobs, and are only known for insiders. Job sites are planning to get as much jobs and employee’s as possible. It’s all about the long tail again ;)

GigaOm GigaOm Jobs

Jobster.com I found this innovative jobboard that just deserved a blogpost

JobBoard (home made) covering 6 feeds sorted by date (and gives one meta RSS Feed to cover them all)

Software to run a job board

Well enough going on to feel that it’s a good idea to release a concept for a social freelance job search / job find site.

If i missed any job boards or blogs please add them in my comments, thanks!

Great Post - There are many job boards out there that are so specialized that most people would never see them - this is exactly the point of the niche blogger and is what makes the Long Tail argument so persuasive.

Interesting about http://www.itjobfeed.com is that they are completely free, as opposed to being directed by the larger job boards feeds, there picking up lots of ITjobs from minority sectors- such as academia, cahraity etc
