What is happening with Digg?

Although the number of users is still growing till over a million
now, the pages views haven’t grown with them.

What is happening with Digg

So what’s happening? Is Digg losing popularity to other initiatives, or just losing in general? Comments on the Alexa site are going from negative to extremely negative. And have all one thing in common, they love Digg’s system but they hate it’s users.

The community is horrible, comments are mostly meaningless.
Users sound like demented /.ers.
People (digg users) are extremely stupid. They are the most unclever, low class degenerates.

And also the world news section that has started hopefully some months ago, is on the same level as the rest of the site. Probably Chris Anderson was right when he said, that what the majority of people have in common is their interest in “low” . If a million people have to decide what is on the front page, there is no escaping from an online version of Funniest home video’s. But since a million people can’t stand funniest home videos all day long, most people probably leave Digg, leaving behind those view who like to read and view, funny things all day long.

Perhaps its time for an edited part of Digg, or wait you could just go to slashdot next time.
